Can I still apply for U.S. citizenship if I’ve been living in another country for many years?

A: Yes, if you acquired U.S. citizenship at birth, you can still apply for a U.S. passport. You remain eligible even if you’ve been living in another country. Living outside the U.S. does not affect your eligibility for citizenship if you acquired it at birth.
