The support obligation and change of address obligation imposed on a sponsor, substitute sponsor, or joint sponsor under an affidavit of support, and any co-sponsor household member’s support obligation under Form I-864A Contract between Sponsor and Household Member, all begins when the immigration officer, the immigration judge or consular officer grants the intending immigrant’s application for permanent resident-Green Card on the basis of an application that included an affidavit of support or a Form I-864A Contract between Sponsor and Household Member.
