Can Parolees Work in the United States?

A: Yes, parolees may apply for employment authorization by filing Form I-765. However, applicants must submit a separate application for work authorization because parole does not automatically grant it. Approval for work authorization is also subject to eligibility and is at the discretion of U.S. authorities. Parolees should make sure they have the proper authorization before seeking employment.
